Due to unforeseen circumstances the Parramatta ANZAC Parra-Amble discovery walk scheduled for Sunday 24 May 2015 has been postponed until November.

The inaugural Parra-Amble saw more than 200 people including preschoolers, families and corporate groups traversing the streets and sights of Parramatta for an ‘Amazing Race’ style treasure hunt.

Corporate Manager of Australian Rotary Health Terry Davies said that while regrettable, postponing the event until November will allow more members of the community to join the event and raise much needed funds to support Australian Rotary Health.

“The Rotary Clubs of Parramatta City, Parramatta Day Break, Parramatta, Blacktown City, Kincumber and Penrith Valley are big supporters of the Parra-Amble, which this year commemorates the ANZAC Centenary,” Mr Davies said.

“Together with Australian Rotary Health, we hope to raise $35,000 for a new ANZAC PhD Scholarship to research Post Traumatic Stress Disorder for returned Veterans and their families.

“We thank Parramatta City Council, Parramatta Chamber of Commerce and the major sponsors for their continued support of the Parra-Amble and look forward to working with them to deliver a bigger and better event this November.”

Registered participants will be contacted directly regarding the change of date.

The ANZAC Parra-Amble will be a celebration of 100 years of the ANZAC Spirit in a fun way! More details, including the new date once announced can be found online at
